About myself

I am a reliable and hard working Spanish Linguist with 25+ years of experience in the education sector. After teaching GCSE, A-level and Business Spanish for many years, In 2013 I decided to have a twist in my professional career, and became a Freelance Linguist after completing an MA degree in Bilingual Translation (English/Spanish).

My projects involve Translation of Business/Legal documents, Medical documents, Interpreting on Public Services (Social Services, Court, Police, Hospital and others) and Private Tutoring (GCSE, A-Level, IB, Oxbridge Exam Preparation). 

DBS Certified.

Qualifications:

  • MA Bilingual Translation, University of Westminster, London

  • Postgraduate teaching Training Course (PGCE), Alicante University, Spain.

  • B.A Degree in English Philology, Alicante University, Spain

Experience:

Translation:

  • Medical translation: clinical reports.

    Legal translation: birth certificates, divorce certificates, affidavit, wills etc.

  • Literary translation: First chapter of the book: An Unfinished Portrait by Miriam Frank (from English into Spanish).

  • Translation work for The Tandana Foundation. Translation (from English to Spanish and vice versa) of web blogs on different topics: education, medicine, gardening…

As a translator CPD is a key factor of my career. I am a regular attendee at conferences, fairs, seminars and courses related to the Translation and Interpreting industries.
 These include CAT tools, AI and IT courses.
>As specialised in Education, I keep up to date with all the changes in the education system, national curriculum, different Examination Boards, etc.
Being a speaker at London Language Show.
Contributing with some articles to ITI Bulletin.
